Last year the
club saw the outgoing leadership steer the club through incredible growth in
the past 6 months, with several new members, and current members completing
projects.
The upcoming
year is shaping up to be an exciting and dynamic one. Our membership is
varied in it's scope. We have members who have recently
completed Competent Communicator designation, Advanced Communicator
designation, and an outgoing Area Governor (who is at the end of his term
also)!
We have
seasoned veterans, including charter members, ready with guidance, support,
and leading by example:
- By picking up the
incorrect use, and explaining the nuances, of proper grammar.
- By giving an
encouraging evaluation while tactfully giving points to improve that we all
crave.
- By challenging us
with innovative Table Topics, training our minds to think faster along new
trains of thought.
We have
members from around the world who can share new experiences, new perspectives
and new insights. Hearing voices from different cultures can only enhance
everyone's learning experience and train the ear to understand the variety
of accents.
Our outgoing executive has performed admirably. They are leaving the club in a
wonderful position that will make our jobs as your incoming executive easier.
As your new
President, I will endeavour to continue the tradition of Silver Springs
Toastmasters being a club you can be proud to be a member of. I will lead
your executive group to the best of my ability, and strive to help make this
club the best that it can be.
- Head towards Cochrane on Crowchild Trail ( 1A ).
- You will go past Nose Hill, then Stony Trail. Continue to the next set of lights.
- This is 12 Mile Coulee Rd.
- If you look to your right ( north ) you will see the
Co-op building,( with their red DELI FOOD PHARMACY on the side of the building) set back from Crowchild.
When you enter the store, keep left as our meeting room is upstairs above the deli. Be on the lookout for our TM LOGO on the meeting room door or ask Customer Service.
